Wine made using the traditional Port method. After gentle grinding and removal, the grapes are fermented together with the skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and is stopped by the addition of wine distillate. The entire winemaking process, which is followed by the oenological team, takes into account the grape varieties, their degree of ripeness and the desired sweetness. This wine matures in barrels for 3 to 4 years.
Serving: This port wine does not need to be decanted. It is a typical dessert wine. It goes well with fruit cakes, dried fruit, nut desserts or chocolate. It should be served at a temperature between 12°C and 14°C.
Store at constant temperature and protect from direct light. Best consumed within 6-8 weeks after opening.
The wine comes from the Douro river valley in Portugal, which stretches 100 km from the city of Porto. Due to its picturesqueness and uniqueness, this region was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Portugal was the first country in the world to precisely delimit one area and classify vineyards - that area was the Douro River Valley.
